Crude Oil : Enhanced Oil Recovery and Production (EORP) Project

Pacific Asia Petroleum has commenced operations on its Enhanced Oil Recovery & Production (EORP) Business in Shandong province with initial revenue generation beginning in August 2009.

Pacific Asia is also now conducting pilot testing applying its EORP technology to oil fields in Liaoning and Xinjiang. At the same time, we are in negotiation with oilfields in Inner Mongolia, Jilin, Heilongjiang and Henan provinces where our EORP technology is in strong demand.

The EORP Technology

  • Pacific Asia's EORP technology is particularly applicable to oil fields where the insitu oil exhibits high viscosity and high pour point qualities
  • Application of the EORP technology reduces viscosity and pour point of the oil insitu to allow it to flow through the formation to the well bore.
  • The EORP technology has been successfully tested on a significant number of wells in China where it has increased existing production levels from between 50% and 100% while at the same time increasing reserve recovery factors
  • Use of the EORP technology to enhance production has application worldwide, however, our initial focus is on oilfields within China, that still contain significantly remaining reserves and are very under-produced.

Potential for Application of the EORP Technology

  • Published data shows that China has over 20 billion barrels of high viscosity and high pour point unrecovered crude oil resources.
  • It is these under-produced oil fields where Pacific Asia’s EORP technology can help to unlock significant additional production and previously unrecoverable oil reserves.
